Here we leave Samal island. Two motorbikes drove us and our luggages. Lovely philippine people that lived very close to us and they will always be our friends. So kind people. They took us to the fairy boat and after that taxi to the airport in Davao. On the dark picture you see the KLM airplane that took us from Manila to Amsterdam (Shiphol airport). It was a very long journey, took us 3 days. Now we are back in Spain again in the small cities Altea/La Nucia there we live and have a wonderful life….

We go back to Spain

We have decided to go back to Spain and is leaving Davao airport in the afternoon on the 12th and is arriving at Valencia airport in the evening on the 14th. A long trip but now we just want to go home. We will stay one night in Manila on a nice B&B on the way back.

It´s to many strange diseases here and we don´t want to get sick anymore. I feel quite normal now but are tired and some of my muscles still hurts but no other problem.

Today we went to a nice small beach with the dogs and had a good time. We will look around this beautiful island before we leave. There is a lot to see and the days goes fast…

Some funny pictures and our motorcykel driver Anthony!

The little girl had her “siesta”, a midafternoon snooze in the hammock with her family around at the terrace. They take what they have and make the best of it and the girl slept good in there. Really amazing! The most philippin people doesn´t like the sun and covers them self with clothes all over to get shadow, even the face sometimes. Umbrella when they are going with the tricycles is common too! Here you also see a hole family on the motorbike, This is normal and up to 5 persons can sit at the same time, no problem for the philippines. This is the biggest “mall” at our island, I found some things I needed.

Anthony is a young guy, he lives in our neighbourhood and drives us when he is not in school. They shall be in school until 16 in the afternoon but often the teachers wants to do something else after a couple of hours and the children can go home. Shopping can be very exiting also for a teacher in the city Davao, ha ha. If Anthony is not avalible we call someone else to drive us. The people here is very helpful!

Arraving at Samal island

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA We arrived at Davao airport at 5 pm, picked up our luggage and the dogs and then we took a taxi outside the building. After a short while we came to the harbour in Davao. A lot of people, no signs and cars and buses everywhere. Found the woman who sold the fairy tickets, not so helpful but we managed. Tha fairy was filled with funny cars and the people was sitting on the top of the cars to hold on to their belongings. Amazing how it is here and in Thailand. You have to be here to understand how strange, funny and special their world and life is and how they manage. The people are so poor but they fix and make solutions for every barrier they meet. When we reached Samal I had to get some motorcycles that could drive us to the house we have rent. Met a girl, she organized everything with 3 other men and off we go in to the djungle with 2 big suitcases, handluggages, two dogs and their cages. 4 motorcycles the girls included, she took on the role as the manager and off we go. We were in the middle of the woods and sometimes she needed to ask people we met if we where at the right path. The roadtrip was so funny and my dog Elvira she didn´t want to miss a second, she was so exited and checked everything. Emma was with George on another motocycle. The dogs were sitting in backpackages on our breasts. 20 minutes fast ride on a muddy small path, no street lamps and with drivers we never met before. One must have faith that everything is going to be fine when you travel as we are at the moment. Everything worked out fine but my butt hurt a lot after this motorcycle trip, ha ha. The house is nice and clean but tomorrow we move to another house, 100 meters away from here with better internet and telephone connections, need it for my work. Shall try to sleep some more hours now, are so tired with nearly no sleep for two days. It takes a while before the body get used to the new time. It´s 7 hours  time difference to Europe. Here is some pictures from today. The first with the bus and tricycles are from Manila and the other pictures is from the fairy trip to our island Samal around 18.30 and the small shop close to our house. We bought some sardines cannes in tomato sauce, we wanted to celebrate our arrivel and were so hungry, ha ha!
