Today it has finally turned in the right direction…

Hängmatta träd

I have been very sick in dengue fever from a mosquito. Yesterday the doctor said i should stay at the hospital but i didn´t want so i had to sign a paper that i left the hospital and took full responsibility for it myself. My blood counts were very bad and i was so weak and dizzy in my head. I haven´t had any headache, no red rash and no nausea, I have had other strange symptoms. Yesterday was the worse day and after the motorbike trip home i stayed in bed, had no power for anything. This morning i had to go back for new blodtests and today it was better so now it goes in the right direction. Tomorrow i shall go back to the hospital for the last check up. The doctor said i have a strong body, he was really worried about me. In about two weeks i will be more or less normal again and i am looking forward to it.

The strange thing is that i haven´t seen i got the mosqito bite, i was not red and it hasen´t been itching but the mosqito liked me, that´s for sure, he he!

It will not be the same here anymore and also my dogs have been very sick. Elvira got Parvo and Emma needed to operate two of her legs because of small animals that bite her.

George and I are planing for changes now and it will be for the best. Everything has its time, hasn´t it?

Tell you more about it soon!

Wish you all a Happy New Year

Life changes fast…

At christmas the 24th i didn´t feel well in the afternoon, i thought it was a normal cold with high fever. I slept more or less in 48 hours. After that i havn´t felt good so today i went to the hospital and they took some tests and the doctor said i got “dengue fever”. The tests were not good so shall be back at 8 o´clock tomorrow morning and is it worse i have to stay at the hospital for a while. The dengue fever comes from a mosqito and it is a bad disease. Hope i get well soon. Today i am totally exhausted even if you can´t see that on the picture.

I miss my breakfasts…

Here in the Philippines the food is not as i am used to. The bananas for example doesn´t taste banana at all, it taste like raw potatoes. The coconuts tastes like sour water. The oranges and clementines are imported from australia and they are so dry so can´t eat or make fresh juice of it. They sell limes at the markets but it is no lime, it is small green clementines that you can´t eat, i have them only for decoration. I am VERY tired of the food here! Miss my fresh orange juice in the morning and my greek youghurt. And the meat from lamb, pig and cow tast the same, very strange for me. In a view days we shall go to another big supermarket and i hope to find some yougurth, thai spices, coconut milk and other things there. In Thailand they have lovely food to eat but not here.

I am a little disapointed of the Philippine country!

My friends knows that i live a very healthy life normally but it is not possible here, unfortunatly. I have to take vitamins every day! Well, well i will not get fat here, that´s for sure. I guess i already lost 2 kilos since i came here, maybe i will look like a walking stick when we go back to Spain, ha ha! Future will tell…

Santa Claus George

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Today we have been out and gave some Christmas gifts to poor children in our village. They were so happy and surprised. Feels good for both me and George to give them something. It will be a lazy day for me as i got a cold with fever and my body hurts but George is having fun with our neighbors playing games outside. It´s warm 34 degrees. Some of them are from Sweden and their wifes is from the Philippines. Their traditions is not like ours. Today the neighbor in front of us killed a big pig and it is really hard for me hearing it screaming in about 10 minutes before it dies. I just want to cry. Sometimes i turn my music on in my headset, very high so i don´t hear it screaming. Tonight they will eat the pig and 20 people is waiting for it, disgusting. I love pigs and animals and feel so sorry for them, They are little of canibals here and not so nice to their animals here, they also eat some of their dogs. I woke up late and heard two more pigs screaming, they have 10 minutes of a long pain before they dies. Don´t understand why they don´t kill them fast. Good we are moving soon, on our small street they don´t have so many animals and also it´s more european people there and we don´t have the same traditions killing animals in our gardens with knives. It is good for us to do this trip so we see how good lifes at home in Europe,

Wish you all a nice Christmas day!

A suprising day for this boy!

We have a disabled boy in our village, he can´t talk so sign language is used in the communication with him. We wanted to do something special for this guy, so decided to see if he had any wishes? George was kind and took him to Babak town and another village and when they arrived George said he could choose what he wanted to have. He was very exited. Many things was bought, shorts, socks, sneakers, flip flop shoes, shirts, a watch, sunglasses and a small bag for money. He also wanted a to have a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, candy, soup, crackers and napkins, ha ha. They play a lot of pool (billar) (biljard) here and he also wanted the tools for this game so they bought that too! When they came back he came to our home and showed me what he got in his plastic bags and his face was shining. I also gave him 500 pesos to put in his small bag for playing the pool game. This is a day to remember for all of us and it made my day!

Emma at the veterinarys place!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My Dog Emma was bitten by an small animal and had two abscesses on her two legs they grew bigger so the veterinary had to cut them away. Not so nice and George was kind and hold her under the operation. This was not a funny thing and she has a lot of medication to take for some days. Many strange small animals, parasites and amoebas (amöbas) here that is harmful for the animals. Now she is fine and this weekend we shall go back and remove the stitches!
